Do You Think That New Clothes are Out of Your Reach?
Remember the days when buying a new dress was usually only because you had a special occasion to go to.
I know that I do. I remember the days when I would splash out and spend a little more than I would usually allow myself just to look my best.
The rest of the time you would just get by with what you have, the price tags at the shops making you cringe. You may spend a little at the hospice shop or the local gala from time to time and get some second hand clothes. It was a treat just to have something different to wear.
No longer those days are gone. New and affordable fashion is now at our fingertips.
You can revamp your wardrobe today on the cheap but How?
I have decided to revamp and I don’t have lots of pennies to burn so it is time to get Savvy.
I have two ways to purchase new items and at a low cost. One is a NZ favourite online haunt and the other again is online and one shunned buy many as it does not support NZ manufacturers or businesses.
If That Bugs You
I am sure if you were to search for NZ online bargains you would come up with some affordable sites offering good deals. Just use words like bargain, sale, cheap, wholesale etc when you word your search.
My 2 ways of finding new fashion on a budget.
- You guessed it Trademe. You can still score your self a bargain here and there are some amazing new garments loaded on at 1$ reserve met. Believe it or not you can actually even win an auction here for a couple of bucks and postage. But how you may be wondering . You are probable familiar with trademe. Just go to Womens clothing .Scroll down on the left and select your size then pick lowest price and new and check out the auctions. Put anything you like the look of and keep and eye on it or run and auto bid on it to the limit you can afford ,remembering postage.
- Aliexpress This is an overseas site that offers a massive amount of products for bottom prices and often no postage . How they afford to do it is beyond me. Of cause as I say this is not supporting NZ but I guess this is an option for those who are living on the lowest wage and would otherwise not be able to buy if the prices were as high as they can be in NZ Shops or online stores. I have seen many products of aliexpress for sale in our shops so perhaps they get there stock this way sometimes I am not sure. You do have to pay GST on anything you buy from overseas I think now when it gets to a certain amount. You also need to be careful of the sizes as L can sometimes be the same as our small size here.
These a 2 ways to help you revamp on a low budget. You may have some great websites you could share with us also. I would love to here about NZ websites too that offer low prices and I will happily list them on this post.
Don’t Knock Second Hand
The other option is to go for good quality second hand clothes . I have done this many times myself in the past when funds were tight. Garage sales, galas, secondhand shops and the Hospice shops are a good place to start.
We do not need to be wealthy to dress well and look nice there are ways and means to shop for affordable clothes.
